Web ads hit U.S. Q1 record

Sales of Internet ads in the U.S. reached $8.4 bil, up 15% from '11, as consumers are spending more time online, according to a report by the Interactive Advertising Bureau and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Two years ago the Q1 year-over-year growth rate was just 7.5%. Google (GOOG) shares fell 2.1% to 568.50. Yahoo (YHOO) shares fell 2.2% to 15.30.
