ATLANTA (AP) — Delta Air Lines Inc. said on Monday that it has named former McAffee CEO David G. DeWalt to its board of directors.
DeWalt was President and CEO of McAfee, which makes computer security software, for almost four years until it was bought by Intel Corp. in February. Before that he was an executive with software maker EMC Corp. He is also chairman of Polycom Inc. and a member of the board of Jive Software.
According to an SEC filing, Delta's board granted 15,800 restricted shares to DeWalt on Nov. 22 as an annual award to a non-employee board member. The shares would be worth $115,024 based on the Nov. 22 closing price of $7.28.
On Monday, Delta shares rose 35 cents, or 4.9 percent, to $7.47 amid a broad market rally.
